What HVAC work costs around here

Honest ranges for repairs, installs and panel upgrades in Central CT, plus what makes a quote move up or down.

How we price

Repairs start with a flat diagnostic fee. Once we know the cause you get a written price before any work begins, and the diagnostic is the only charge if you decide not to go ahead. Installations are quoted after a site visit, as a fixed price that covers equipment, labor, permits and haul-away.

What moves the price

JobWhat pushes it up or downTypical range
Furnace or AC repairThe part, whether it is on the van, access to the unit, after-hours timingTo be added

How to compare two quotes

Ways to lower the cost

Energize Connecticut incentives apply to many high-efficiency installs, and financing can spread the cost. Scheduling replacement work outside the coldest and hottest weeks also gives you more choice of install dates.

Common questions

Why don’t you give prices over the phone?

We can give a rough range for common jobs. A firm price needs the cause found or the site seen, and a phone guess is often wrong in your disfavor.

Is the diagnostic fee credited toward the repair?
