A ductwork shop that kept getting asked to do more

We started out fabricating and installing sheet metal, the unglamorous part of a heating system that nobody sees and everybody feels. Customers kept asking whether we could handle the furnace too. Then the AC. Then the panel that could not carry the AC. Then the water heater.

Rather than hand people off to strangers, we hired the licences. Today heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical all sit under one roof, staffed by our own people, which is why one phone call can usually settle a problem instead of starting a relay race.

The name changed to Snazzy because “Ductworks” had stopped describing what we actually do. Everything else, the address, the licence numbers, the crew, stayed exactly where it was.

How we got here

  1. 1992

    Sheet metal out of a garage

    Two people, one brake press, and contracts fabricating duct for local builders across Hartford County.

  2. 2001

    Full HVAC service

    We took on installs and service for the systems we had been ducting, and started the maintenance agreements that became the Comfort Club.

  3. 2024

    Electrical licence in-house

    Panel upgrades, generators and EV chargers stopped being someone else’s job. Our electricians ride the same schedule as our HVAC techs.

  4. 2025

    Plumbing added

    Water heaters, drains and leak work, the calls that most often arrive on the same day as a no-heat call in January.

  5. 2026

    Snazzy

    A new name and a new site for the same family business, built around the way people actually search for help: by the problem in front of them.

    You get a written, flat price before a wrench moves. If we find something else once we are in, we stop and show you.

    Every technician who enters your home is our employee, no rotating subcontractors, no surprises on the driveway.

  • No fear-selling

    We will tell you when a repair makes more sense than a replacement, even when the replacement pays us better.

  • Windows we actually keep

    You get a two-hour arrival window and a text when the tech leaves the previous job. If we are running late, you hear it from us first.

  • We leave it cleaner

    Drop cloths, shoe covers, and the old equipment goes out with us. Basements included.

  • We remember your house

    Notes, model numbers and photos from every visit, so the tech who arrives in December knows what happened in June.

Working here

We are usually hiring one or two people, experienced techs and apprentices who want their licence paid for. Same-day interviews, and you will meet the crew before you decide.

Are you the same company as Ductworks HVAC Services?
Yes. Same ownership, same crew, same address on Spring Street, same licence numbers. Only the name and the website changed.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every technician is our own employee, licensed, insured and background-checked, which is why we can stand behind the work without pointing at someone else.
Are you really available seven days a week?
Our booking line takes requests seven days a week and emergency calls, no heat, no hot water, no cooling, no power, get triaged first. Routine work is scheduled into the next available window.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Our focus is residential across Central Connecticut, but we do light commercial for existing customers. Call and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
What brands do you install?
We are a Carrier dealer and install the brands we can get parts for locally, that matters more than the badge when something fails on a Sunday.
